In the last few weeks, videos have been circulating TikTok noting that Starbucks locations have been facing supply shortages. The chain of coffeehouses and roastery reserves confirmed the shortages through a notification sent to Starbucks app users noting that "current supply shortages" are affecting menus nationwide.
The scale of the shortage but reports are noting that locations have had to scale back on its food and beverage offerings with upwards of a couple dozen items being unavailable. Some affected supplies include fruit flavorings, plant-based dairy options, various food items and even Venti cups.
Starbucks shortage comes after news of a ketchup packet and boba shortage brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is currently unclear when Starbucks will be able to remedy the issue.
