After visiting the American desert for its most recent capsule, Parisian label Satisfy returns this season alongside global running magazine Runner’s World for a co-branded performance collection.
Founded in Easton, Pennsylvania, in 1966, Runner’s World is a monthly magazine dedicated to the world of running, and has since expanded to 18 international editions. Soon after its inception, the publication saw its popularity soar thanks to the 1970s "running boom" and has been a mainstay in the sport ever since.
Now for Fall/Winter 2021, Satisfy teams up with Runner’s World to celebrate the current running boom that has occurred over the last year, which has seen the sport become a vehicle for escape and emotional balance via what Satisfy dubs: the “runner’s high”.
“Most of the time it [the high] happens for me on my longer runs, usually after 30-35 minutes,” explained Satisfy founder Brice Partouche in an interview with HYPEBEAST last year. “It’s this feeling of my brain floating and you don’t even think about your legs or your breath. You’re just lost in your thoughts. If you can reach this moment of joy when you run, it could lead to happiness.”
For this capsule, Satisfy has selected fabric technologies (like its Justice™ material) and silhouettes that enable its wearers to reach the high, by removing any physical distractions. From Muscle tees, singlets and moth-eaten tees, to trail shorts, packable windbreakers and caps, the collection arrives in a range of colors and styles, all of which house subtle co-branding.
The full Runner’s World x Satisfy collection is set to drop on October 29 and will be available via the Satisfy webstore.
In other news, BLACK Comme des Garçons has revived archival Nike Running graphics for its latest capsule.
