Japanese outdoor specialist Snow Peak has returned with its Fall/Winter 2021 collection, focusing on the relationship people have with the natural world. The campaign imagery tells the story of Takashi Tomii -- a woodwork artist who crafts utensils for everyday use -- and his family, as part of the label's "live with loved ones in places you love" campaign theme.
Speaking about his work, Tomii explained, "I don’t want to be caught up by the boundaries of cities or suburbs. The tools I make aren’t actually important, the life being created by using the tools is. I want to make woodworks that add value naturally and allow the user to enjoy their life more."
This ethos is the focus of the Snow Peak collection, which blurs the lines between city life and the natural world, with items designed for both aesthetics and function. The FW21 collection itself features classic Snow Peak items including liner jackets, technical outerwear and a selection of Japanese workwear-inspired pieces.
