Closer Looks: CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 "K.O.D. Solar Red"

Rounding up what is now a trilogy of releases, CLOT x Nike recently revealed the Air Max 1 "K.O.D. Solar Red." Following up the arrivals of the "K.O.D. OG" and "K.O.D. CHA," the latest collaboration celebrates a storied relationship between Kevin Poon and Edison Chen's imprint with the Swoosh.

Referencing the ongoing partnership, the Nike Air Max 1 "K.O.D. Solar Red" draws from an exclusive colorway is created for Kanye West during his "Touch The Sky" tour stop in Hong Kong back in 2006. Worn by the artist at the show hosted by CLOT co-founders Edison Chen and Kevin Poon, it has been rumored that only several pairs of the original special sneaker exist in the world.

The upcoming release is centered around a mix of red and gold inline with CLOT’s aim to bridge the East and West. The bright neon pink-paneled upper and reflective red heel with gold embroidery is accented by mesh toe caps and silver mudguards. While branding elements are continued by matching midfoot Swooshes, tongue tags and embossed CLOT branding. Rounding up the design of the shoe are black/white footprint printed insoles and a new take on the “K.O.D.” foot reflexology sole unit.

The CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D. Solar Red” will be available exclusively at JUICE locations worldwide, JUICESTORE App and online July 20.
