For the duo's third consecutive winter collaboration, Taiwanese streetwear boutique INVINCIBLE continues its relationship with The North Face with a new "METAVERSE EXPLORER" capsule, enlisting Japanese stylist Akio Hasegawa for the project to inject a unique point of view.
The upcoming collection drapes The North Face's classic Mountain Light Jacket and Nuptse Jacket in neon virtual galaxy visuals. Revolving around the concept, "imagination of the future in the 20th century," the bold outwear pieces feature "The North Face Mountain, Mountain Expedition" text in bright retro fonts with a digital grid graphic as the backdrop. Black crewneck sweaters and light grey T-shirts are also available with the aforementioned graphics printed on the right chest and back. The pieces aim to pay tribute to the beauty of the past while celebrating the rise of virtual engagement and are reminiscent of the Galaxy Foamposites and Sprayground backpacks back in 2012 with a digital twist.
The co-branded collection will be available at the INVINCIBLE stores in Shanghai, Chengdu and Taipei on November 9 and on the official The North Face website and offline retailers on November 11.
