Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama and Li-Ning have prepared a second merch drop under the title "Let sports light your passion," represented by a motif of the hand of Sorayama's infamous metal robot figure holding a Li-Ning torch.
Mr. Li-Ning, the founder of the brand, carried the torch for the Olympics in 2008 and the Asian Games in 1990. Through this collaboration, Li-Ning wishes to continue to be a bearer of light to everyone through sports, "by challenging ourselves, by being brave and persistent but also by bringing hope and passion to our everyday lives."
The collection comes in black and white, decorated with gray metallic Li-Ning and Sorayama branding, and the collection's collaborative torch motif. Silhouettes include a range of short and long-sleeve tees, skateboards, silver basketballs. A pair of special-edition sneakers accentuate the collection whereby Sorayama gives his futuristic sci-fi touch to Li-Ning's high-performance running sneaker model, Shadow. A BOA lacing system and his signature silver accents are added across the crisp white pairs featuring a unique gap on the mid-foot sole unit.
The Li-Ning x Hajime Sorayama Drop 2 release is now available in Japan and China with a global release to follow soon.
