Nike Previews Two New Air Force 1 Lows for the "Athletic Club" Collection

Following the release of the Blazer Mid '77, Nike looks to expand its "Athletic Club" lineup with the Air Force 1 Low in two new varying colorways. The collection takes inspiration from the aesthetics of community gymnasiums from the '70s and '80s which combines minimalistic elements and lines with clean round typefaces.

To further exude the theme of retro recreational clubs, the first pair is constructed with nylon toe boxes and quarters in a sail hue overlayed with khaki suede. The laces follow a classic tri-colored ribboning secured with gold dubrés while the white lateral Swooshes are outlined in orange. Nike's Athletic Club branding can be found on the tongue tags and insoles with the heel tab sporting a sew-on patch as the shoe model name is debossed under the tails of the Swooshes. To complete the look, the design sits atop a white midsole and is sealed off with a navy blue rubber outsole.

For a more monochrome look, the second style mixes a palette of silver and gray with the same build-up of nylon and suede uppers over a bone-colored midsole and light gray outsole.

Look out for both editions of the Air Force 1 Low "Athletic Club" to debut in the coming months at select retailers and Nike's website for $100 USD each.

In case you missed it, Supreme and Nike team up to launch a Cross Trainer Low for Fall 2021.
