A new clothing capsule from actor John Boyega and retailer H&M taps into the spirit of change makers with innovative materials and a focus on sustainability. Edition by John Boyega for H&M ranges from effortless workwear silhouettes and patchwork denim pieces to floral prints and tie-dye patterns, taking a thoughtful approach to autumnal dressing.
Inspired by Boyega's reputation as both an actor and a voice for change, the collaboration with H&M places sustainability at the forefront with recycled, organic and innovative materials. “I’m excited to collaborate with H&M on a collection that aligns my passions with purpose," he says. "Sustainability, to me, means thinking about longevity for the benefit of those coming after us." This commitment comes through in both form and function. The collection's outerwear are made from sustainable sources, like a striking checked coat that's made from premium Italian wool.
More than just a feat of materiality, the capsule also channels the British-Nigerian actor's personal style through wardrobe staples, like relaxed-fit T-shirts and pants, and statement making pieces such as a floral zip-up jacket and pink tie-dye canvas trainers. Edition by John Boyega also includes a pink tie-dye sweatshirt and T-shirts with a graphic that promotes planet Earth featuring the slogan, "A better present leads to a better future." Each piece of the well-rounded offering is rooted in comfort — another element that was important to Boyega.
