Nissin Stirs Up Four Cup Noodle-Flavored Sodas

To further celebrate its 50th anniversary, Nissin unveiled its latest lineup of Cup Noodle Sodas. The iconic instant noodles brand recently launched a series of four new flavors dubbed the "Cup Noodle Super Combined."

With four unique flavors, each pertains to certain types of cup noodles such as Cup Noodle Soda, Seafood Soda, Curry Soda and Chili Tomato Soda. As strange as it may sound, the Cup Noodle variation features a ginger ale type of soda base with a salty and peppery aroma, while the Seafood Soda goes for a cream soda flavor with a seafood undertone. The Curry Soda mixes a cola soda base with curry spices and the Chili Tomato Soda is what its name suggests.

The Japan-based brand is offering a full Cup Noodle 50th Anniversary Complete Set that's composed of the four soda flavors, all eight Cup Noodle Umaibo snacks, and eight standard Cup Noodle flavors for ¥2,998 JPY (approximately $27 USD).

Adventurous soda drinkers can pre-order a set from September 13 to 17 at Nissin's official website. Regular orders may also be made through online retail sites such as Amazon, au PAY Market, Rakuten, Lohaco, and Yodobashi.

Elsewhere in food, KFC and McDonald's Japan whip up new festive menu items to celebrate the tsukimi festival.
