Jordan Brand has continued its effort to its Black Community Commitment, offering a total of $1 million USD local community grants to 18 grassroots organizations in the United States. By supporting nonprofits that alleviate inequity within local solutions, the footwear brand hopes to create a meaningful impact on the communities.
“Action over words is the foundation of our Black Community Commitment,” Michael Jordan says in a statement. “These 18 organizations put action over words every day to make their communities a better place. Each of these groups has demonstrated the courage to make a difference at the local level and I could not be more proud to support the work they are doing.”
To be qualified for Jordan Brand's local community grants, the organization must have less than $3 million USD of the total operating budget, with successes in creating sustainable changes. Here’s the full list of the 2021 Jordan Brand Black Community Commitment recipients:
