According to reports, Domino's is currently struggling to deliver its pizza in 30 minutes or less. The chain has even admitted that it has gotten slower this year with customers experiencing longer delivery times.
During a recent earnings call, Domino's CEO Ritch Allison said, "With the challenges that we've had in staffing, we haven't made the service gains and improvements that I would like to see here in 2021." Adding that fixing its delivery times "are a big area of focus for us as we look going forward."
It is interesting to note that labor shortages faced all around that nation at the moment are the cause of the delays at Domino's locations as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. The pizza chain is planning to hire more drivers and address productivity. "We are spending a lot of time looking at how we can get more efficient in our stores. And frankly, how we can deliver better delivery times with the same or, in some cases, even fewer drivers," said Ritch Allison.
