Nike has continued its sustainable focus and "Move to Zero" initiative through the release of its new plant-based Air Max 95 designs. The classic sneaker has been reworked with a cork formula, and the two colorways are constructed using natural dyes and at least 20% recycled materials.
Both colorways feature uppers constructed from a mix of cork and canvas, which sit atop the silhouette's signature Air bubble and a foam midsole. The plant-based nature of the design is referenced through leaf motif on the tongue, complete with the words "fig 5. Cork," while the colorway names -- "Coconut Milk" and "Obsidian Wheat/Blue" -- also recall the natural influence.
Take a look at the plant-based Air Max 95 colorways in the gallery above. Both are available now from select stockists including Aphrodite.
