Swizz Beatz Previews J. Cole Verse on DMX's "Bath Salts"

Swizz Beatz confirmed that there is a version of the late DMX's "Bath Salts" that features a verse from J. Cole.

The EXODUS executive producer previewed the alternate track during his VERZUZ rematch against Timbaland. Swizz Beatz first played the album version of "Bath Salts" with JAY-Z and Nas, then called it "the cute version" before asking the DJ to spin the unreleased cut. He confirmed throughout the lengthy verse that it was indeed Cole but the track was cut short by the DJ, and Swizz Beatz asked, "Oh, you're not gonna play the whole J. Cole verse?"

Cole's verse isn't the only one that didn't make the final album cut, though. Many fans were expecting a Pop Smoke feature to appear on EXODUS after X himself confirmed it prior to his death, but Swizz Beatz clarified that the two Pop Smoke verses they initially wanted were already use. Instead of recycling the verses, they opted to get Moneybagg Yo on "Money Money Money" instead, and this was the only thing they changed after the death of DMX.

In related news, JAY-Z remembered the time he boycotted the GRAMMYs in 1999 after DMX failed to secure a nomination.
