New 'Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade' Trailer Offers Closer Look at Upcoming DLC

SQUARE ENIX has just released the final trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, giving fans a closer look at the upcoming PlayStation 5 title as well as the new Intermission DLC.

While Intergrade itself is simply an optimized version of the recent Final Fantasy VII Remake for next-gen consoles, the standard version of the game will come with a fresh DLC pack called the Intermission episode, which follows a completely new story arc featuring Yuffie Kisaragi and Sonon Kusakabe. The duo sets off on a mission to Midgar in order to steal from the Shinra Electric Power Company, but are confronted by Scarlet's giant mech as well as Nero during their adventure.

On top of the DLC, the trailer also reveals a new minigame, called Fort Condor, which resembles the tower defense game in the original Final Fantasy VII but with an added auto chess touch.

For fans of the franchise, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be arriving on the PlayStation June 10, exclusively for the first six months. Those with the PS4 version can upgrade to the PS5 version for free and also carry over your save data, but will have to purchase the Intermission DLC separately.

Elsewhere in gaming, Sony has reportedly said that PS5 delays may continue through 2022.
