Marni Market Is Coming to London

Earlier this month, Marni Market – the homeware and lifestyle imprint of the Marni brand – dropped the first images of its most recent seasonal collection. Now, the brand is coming to London with a new pop-up exhibition, just as the city has begun reopening post-lockdown.

Opening with an installation at 5 Carlos Place (the private shopping arm of the retailer Matchesfashion), the brand will be selling an array of home items, from hand-woven chairs to candles, rugs and hammocks.

Alongside those, a series of new bags will be on offer, including a variety of crocheted and woven styles. All of the products available will be one-of-a-kind, and made in collaboration with Colombian artisans. The Italian brand pivoted to a more sustainable line of production in 2019, and has since placed more emphasis on supporting the communities behind its products.

All of the pieces in the collection carry the crafty, colourful, and self-consciously artsy aesthetic that Marni is known for: expect clashing colours, unexpected textures, and playful design details. Accompanying the installation is a new campaign for the launch, photographed by documentary photographer Jermaine Francis and styled by Chris Hobbs.

Catch Marni Market in person at 5 Carlos Place from June 2.
