Logic Briefly Reemerges From Retirement With "Tired in Malibu"

A new track from Logic entitled "Tired in Malibu" briefly surfaced on the internet before being taken down about a day later.

The one-minute cut, produced by Easy Mo Bee, seemingly hears the rapper announce that he is stepping out of retirement. After namedropping Elon Musk and Big Lenbo, Logic ends the track with a very strong statement: "Retired for a minute, but I guess I'm back, man." Fans should take the freestyle with a grain of salt, however, as the Maryland rapper hasn't officially confirmed his return or even acknowledge the release of the now-deleted song.

Logic announced his retirement in July 2020 and released his final album No Pressure — the sequel to his debut studio album — a week later. “Officially announcing my retirement with the release of No Pressure executive produced by No I.D. It’s been a great decade. Now it’s time to be a great father," he tweeted. He then signed a multi-million dollar deal with Twitch and released a beat tape he created live on the platform. The artist's latest foray back into hip-hop is a record from a "new" artist named Doctor Destruction, but many listeners were convinced that it's actually just Logic's alter ego.

Elsewhere in music, listen to BROCKHAMPTON's newest album, ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE.
