Emilia Clarke is set to join the cast of the forthcoming Marvel and Disney+ series, Secret Invasion.
The Game of Thrones alum is reportedly "in final negotiations" for her role, although the extent of her involvement and character specifics were not revealed. Clarke will star in the series alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn, who will be reprising their roles as Nick Fury and Talos, plus Kinglsey-Ben Adir of One Night in Miami... fame and The Night Manager's Olivia Colman.
While the show's synopsis is yet to be shared, Secret Invasion is named after the comic book crossover that follows the Skrulls as they have secretly replaced a number of heroes with their own alien shapeshifters. Kevin Feige will once again serve as producer while Kyle Bradstreet will write and executive produce the series.
Secret Invasion is just one of the many TV shows Marvel has in store for Phase Four. The entertainment giant is about to finish the second series in its slate, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but will still have Loki, What If...? Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Ironheart, Armor Wars and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
