Audi Officially Unveils the Q4 e-tron Electric SUV

After much anticipation, Audi has finally unveiled the latest members of its growing e-tron family: the Q4 e-tron and its Sportback variant.

Debuted shortly after the global launch of the e-tron GT and GT RS, the two new SUVs are similarly both fully electric and equipped with an array of innovative tech. Arriving to the U.S. later this year, Audi will introduce two models you can choose from depending on the number of motors you want.

The Q4 40 e-tron base option will carry a single rear-mounted motor that can push out 201 horsepower, while a more premium all-wheel-drive option — named the Q4 50 e-tron — will receive a second motor up front, combining with the rear to generate 295 horsepower. The latter will be the only model available for the Sportback variant. Both carry the same 82kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which can provide a range of roughly 250 miles on the single-motor option.

As for its interior, the Q4 e-tron series is equipped with a range of tech features usually found on its higher-end models, such as a touch-sensitive steering wheel and configurable digital instrument clusters. There's also an impressive augmented reality head-up display that provides interactive, real-time navigation.

For those interested, pricing information has yet to be announced by Audi, but the Q4 e-tron series is set to make its U.S. debut at the end of 2021.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, Hyundai has introduced its 2022 Santa Cruz pickup truck.
