Sotheby's Enters Streetwear With Supreme Skatedeck Auction and Louis Vuitton Drop

Ahead of its December Luxury series in New York, Sotheby's has now launched its official entry into the streetwear market.

The inaugural launch to mark its permanent expansion into the market is led by a dedicated sale of more than 200 Supreme skateboard decks. Offered as a single lot and expected to fetch between $80,000-100,000 USD, the full range features a mix of special limited releases and select decks decorated by leading contemporary artists.

The collection of Supreme decks is accompanied by a drop of 120 Supreme x Louis Vuitton apparel and accessories, sourced in conjunction with Jing Daily’s newly launched Modern Collectibles Division. All available for immediate purchase, the limited selection features hoodies, T-shirts, hats, backpacks, scarves, keychains, sneakers and more from the highly-anticipated collaboration. Prices of items range from $475 - $6,785 USD.

The announcement of the Supreme skatedeck auction and Louis Vuitton auction comes after Sotheby's auction of Michael Jordan’s Earliest Known Regular Season Game-Worn Nike Air Ships ($1.5 million USD) and the $1.8 million USD record-breaking private sale of Kanye West Grammy Worn’ Nike Air Yeezy 1 Prototypes from 2008.

In case you missed it, lawmakers are now working on banning bots ahead of Christmas.
