Expanding on its iconic Fifty Fathoms series, Blancpain has now introduced two new Tourbillon 8 Jours models crafted in special materials.
Measuring a hefty 45mm in diameter, the two new signature divers are now constructed in either elegant red gold or a technical grade 23 titanium, offering collectors of the brand a fresh take on the series. Material construction aside, both models are pretty much identical, carrying the watchmaker's highly sophisticated 25C tourbillon movement with an open heart by 12 o'clock giving wearers a glimpse into its mechanical makeup as well as an impressive power reserve of 192 hours — or eight days, as its name suggests.
Other standout features include its 300m water resistance, a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal bezel insert and unidirectional bezel, a windowed caseback revealing the Côtes de Genève motif-bearing caliber, and a selection of NATO and sailcloth straps and bracelet for the titanium option.
