Take a First Look at the Upcoming Union x Nike Dunk Low

Union LA and Nike Sportswear continue their longstanding relationship with a new Nike Dunk Low silhouette.

The first images of the upcoming sneakers reveal lilac uppers and light blue overlays dressed in a grid-like textured fabric. Orange contrast stitching is applied throughout, and the lateral swoosh and heel tab appear in off-white hues. A bright yellow UN/LA fabric tag is found on the laterals and Union's signature Frontman logo is embellished on the lateral heel counter and on the blue translucent bottoms. An oversized co-branded baggage tag is seen attached to the pairs to complete the look.

The Frontman logo was used very early on in Union history and was discontinued for some time due to some internal issues before it was brought back for the brand's 30 Year Anniversary. While many have speculated what the silhouette is referencing, some guessing the figure to be a dancer, skater, and some kind of angel, Union has recently revealed that it was inspired by a scene from Lorraine Hansberry’s film A Raisin in the Sun.

The Union x Nike Dunk Low pairs are slated to release sometime in 2022 at the Union LA and Nike websites. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
