Christopher Ward has offered a taste of things to come with its new C60 Concept skeletonized limited edition dive watch.
The Anglo-Swiss brand has said that the 42mm grade 2 titanium dive watch “foreshadows developments in our forthcoming diving models.”
The open-worked watch is the 21st use of the brand’s in-house COSC chronometer SH21 movement that was launched in 2014. So far Christopher Ward has sold 8,000 watches containing the movement which has been produced in 10 different variations.
Here the 31-jewel automatic with central seconds hand offers a 120-hour or five-day power reserve through twin barrels that have also been skeletonized, revealing the mainsprings inside.
Swiss brand Armin Strom, known for its modern open-worked movements, was brought in to consult on the skeletonization work, while movement specialist Chronode has finished the bridges and mainplate.
As well as featuring a 120-step unidirectional ceramic bezel and screw-down crown - allowing for water resistance to 300m - the C60 Concept complements white Super-LumiNova accents with a three-dimensional orange Globolight triangle at the 12 o’clock position.
The watch is available on either a Cordura and rubber waterproof strap or a matching grade 2 Titanium bracelet, both interchageable using quick release pins.
