'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' Surpasses $400M USD in Global Box Office

Disney and Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings topped $400 million USD in total international earnings this weekend, making it the first pandemic Hollywood film to do so without opening in China.

According to reports, the Simu Liu-led superhero film has earned more than $189 million USD in areas like the United Kingdom, South Kore and France. Forbes notes that Shang-Chi earned another $4.2 million USD in its sixth weekend for a total of $212.45 million USD domestically, with projections now stating that it could close out its local theatrical run between $220 million USD and $225 million USD.

The movie recently became the first pandemic film to garner more than $200 million USD domestically, and it set a new Labor Day box office record in September with its $90 million USD earnings across four days.

Elsewhere in entertainment, No Time To Die broke the James Bond record in Thursday previews.
