Nike Develops Two New Retro Variations of the Air Max Plus SE

Following the sneak peek of the Air Max Terrascape Plus in a duo of colorways, Nike shaped up a new collection of its beloved Nike Air Max Plus dubbed the "Air Max Running Club."

With the first variation named the "AMRC" as a nod to the collection, the design favors a retro-inspired color palette of rich chili red and cerulean blue with touches of yellow and cream. The uppers start off with a base of plush blue mesh caged in with Sean McDowell's TPU plastic overlays in red while the fiery hue outlines the mudguards to the heels and ankle collars. "AMRC" tabs hang from the lateral eyestays while cream-colored tongues and midsoles add contrast to the look while housing a blue Air unit and gradient arch support. The lateral Swooshes and rubberized outsoles complete the primary colorway and seal off the look.

The collection's second pair follows the same cues as the former and presents a darker combination with the mesh bases made up in a midnight blue hue and overlayed in black cages. Pops of orange highlight the Swooshes and gradient arch while the pair prefers a white midsole over a black outsole as a silver Swoosh pin carries a detachable on-brand creative tag.

Both renditions of the Air Max Plus SE are slated to release in the coming weeks at select retailers and Nike's website for $170 USD each.

In case you missed it, the Nike Dunk Low appeared with a "Light Violet" color scheme.
