There's no question that New Balance is one of the strongest sneaker brands in the industry right now, and much of its success can attributed to its onslaught of lifestyle sneakers that it continues to launch. While its collaborations are more favored amongst the sneaker community, its GR family also provides a substantial amount of momentum for the Boston sportswear imprint. And to ring in the month of October, it's introducing a fresh New Balance 1400 "Steel Blue" colorway.
Standing out across the base layer of these kicks are suede overlays that attach to the heels, quarter panels and just around the toe boxes, all of which are dialed to its titular shade. Muted gray and creamy accents then follow suit, the former being applied to the mesh toe boxes while the latter disperses to the tongues and collars, as well as the heel's overlays and molds. Elsewhere on these low-cut kick are tiny doses of baby blue that pour onto the "N" logos and the laces. Midsole units are done up with white backdrops while the toothy treading is drenched in black.
Parties that are interested in copping can do so via Japan retailers like atmos for ¥33,000 (approx. $297 USD) come October 2.
