Unfortunately for Tom Cruise fans, Paramount has now delayed two of the Hollywood actor's upcoming films to 2022, along with the release of the highly-anticipated Jackass Forever.
Initially slated for release all the way back in 2019, the sequel Top Gun: Maverick has now been pushed back once again, moving to May 27, 2022. The date was originally reserved for Cruise's other blockbuster Mission: Impossible 7, which has now subsequently been delayed until September 30, 2022.
As for those looking forward to the return of Johnny Knoxville and his gang of crazy misfits, you'll have to wait just a little longer too. Jackass Forever was set to arrive on October 22, but Paramount has now pushed that date back by four months to February 4, 2022.
Films from other studios scheduled to release during the remainder of this year still seem to be on track right now, with Sony holding strong with Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and its Marvel Studios collaboration Spider-Man: No Way Home, but fans should definitely be on the lookout for any potential updates.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Netflix's live-action Cowboy Bebop is receiving a prequel novel and comic book series.
