Fuji Rock Festival To Give Free COVID-19 Testing Kits to Ticket Holders

With Japan's famed Fuji Rock Festival set to take place later this August, organizers are sending out COVID-19 testing kits to attendees as a precaution.

According to reports, organizers will deliver free antigen testing kits to any ticket holder who requests for one, despite it not being a pre-requisite for entrance to the festival. Attendees are asked to test themselves before the three-day festival, and those who test positive should stay home and will receive a full refund. Ticket holders who will still make their way to the Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture will have their temperature checked, however, and anyone who logs a 37.5℃ (99.5℉) temperature will not be given entry.

Fuji Rock 2020 was initially set to feature performances from Tame Impala, The Strokes, FKA Twigs, Mura Masa, Disclosure and Major Lazer, however it was cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic. As border restrictions remain, this year's event will include an all-local lineup of RADWIMPS, Man on a Mission, Summit and more.

Take a look at the Fuji Rock 2021 lineup below.
