Lil Nas X has joined forces with Jack Harlow for his brand new single, "INDUSTRY BABY."
Produced by Kanye West and Take A Daytrip, the collab clocks in at three-and-a-half minutes and hears the pair touch on their rise to fame. Lil Nas X also expresses his desire to work with Nicki Minaj, compares himself to popstar Justin Bieber and harks back to his childhood nickname, Doobie. Meanwhile, Harlow calls himself a "late bloomer" and tells everyone watching him to just wait and see what he comes up with next.
"Dear 20 year old Montero," Lil Nas X wrote in a letter to himself. "I wrote a song for us. I know sometimes you feel like it's all downhill from here. I know your sexuality has made you feel like an outcast amongst your peers. I know going from having the biggest song in the world to being trapped in your apartment is weighing heavy on you. And I know if you hear the phrase 'one hit wonder' one more time you might combust. But I need you to keep going. I need you to realize that you have the opportunity to be the person that you needed growing up. I need you to stop feeling sorry for yourself. And I need you to remember that the only person who has to believe in YOU is YOU."
The 22-year-old artist initially teased the single with a short video that shows him going to court over his controversial MSCHF x Nike Air Max 97 "Satan Shoes." Lil Nas X can be seen portraying himself, his defense lawyer, the judge and one of the jurors in the prelude, and he's sentenced to "five year in Montero State Prison" after he admits to the court that his mother knows that he's gay.
