It's been 26 years since NWA member Eazy-E passed away, and there's still plenty of lingering questions and controversy regarding his death. WEtv's forthcoming docuseries The Mysterious Death of Eazy-E takes an investigative dive into everything that went down when the late rapper died in 1995.
Throughout this new on-screen offering, viewers will be able to hear from Ebie, Eazy-E's daughter, her mother Tracy Jernagin and hip-hop journalist Jasmine Simpkins as they all give their questions, comments and concerns on the emcee's passing. Eazy was only 31 when he was pronounced dead, and the primary reason was believed to be because of AIDS. However, many folks believe that there was someone or something else involved because he died relatively quickly after his diagnosis. Suge Knight — founder of Death Row Records — expressed that it may have been a contaminated blood injection, and others have speculated that white supremacists were after him.
Ebie, DJ Skee, Tracy Jernagin, Tom Forman Thao Dipolito, Jon Beyer John Halterman, Jeff Dawson, Lauren P. Gellert, Lauren Lazin and David Stefanou executive produced the series.
Be on the lookout for the docuseries to hit your WEtv screens come August 12.
In other news, Loki director Kate Herron will not be returning for a second season on Disney+.
