An Animated Film Inspired by Juice WRLD's Music Is Currently in Development

An animated feature inspired by the music of Juice WRLD is currently in development over at Modern Magic, a new media company built by former MGM Co-President of Production Adam Rosenberg and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse co-director Rodney Rothman.

The upcoming film is untitled as of writing, but reports state that the script will be penned by comedian and The Daily Show correspondent Jaboukie Young-White and executive produced by Juice's mother Carmella Wallace, Peter Jideonwo and Lil Bibby on behalf of Juice's estate, John Janick, Steve Berman and Tony Seyler on behalf of Interscope Films.

“When it comes to animation, we don’t see ourselves as fortune tellers. We see ourselves as recognizing where we already are,” Rosenberg said in a statement. “Animation is a major source of creative and commercial growth, it easily travels around the world, and it is a driving force behind artistic breakthroughs in every medium. Our projects are designed to sit at the intersection of entertainment, culture, and technology, and what we do in animation feeds into our distinct take on live action.”

“Helping lead the team that made Into the Spider-Verse was a life-altering experience that forever changed what I thought was possible,” Rothman added. “We’ve started Modern Magic to keep going and see what else a motivated, ragtag group of artists can accomplish when they take the leap."

Stay tuned for a trailer, release date and more info on the film.
