'Crysis' Is Launching Its Full Remastered Trilogy This Fall on PC and Consoles

Last year, Crytek released its long-awaited Crysis Remastered, giving fans of the original 2007 shooter a whole new experience in terms of graphics and frame rates on more modern machines. Now, the company is following up with the release of the entire Crysis trilogy.

Aptly named Crysis Remastered Trilogy, the new release will feature upgraded versions of all three games in the franchise and will be compatible with both previous-gen and next-gen consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as well as PC. In particular, Crytek says the game will run "even smoother" via backwards compatibility on these latter two devices, which could suggest higher frame rates for gamers. As for those who already purchased the remastered version of the first game last September, the studio will also be making available the second and third titles through standalone purchases.

Though there's no pricing information of a concrete release date at the moment, Crytek says Crysis Remastered Trilogy will arrive sometime this fall, so fans of the game should definitely stay tuned for more updates to come. You can also learn more about it over on the company's official website.

Elsewhere in gaming, PUBG is adding a limited-time racing mode in Season 12.
