Takashi Murakami Serves Up Hydrangea-Shaped Flower Cookies

In lieu of the rainy season in Japan, Takashi Murakami and Kaikai Kiki's pastry shop Tonari no Kaikado have created limited-edition cookies in the shape of hydrangea flowers, which is one of the country's iconic flowers known to bloom during this time of the year.

The "Flower Parent and Child's Hydrangea Cookie Can" displays two of Murakami's signature flower characters in a mint-flavored rendition, surrounded by a mix of flavors for the hydrangeas in butterfly pea, raspberry, purple yam, and white bean paste. Cuddling the flowers is a generous amount of leaf-shaped cookies with even more colorful and flavorful bites found underneath.

Tonari no Kaikado's cookies provide a new experience with colorful and mellow flavors that make walking in the rain more enjoyable. You can pre-order the cookies on their official online store starting June 4 at 12:00 P.M. JST and pick them up from their physical store, Tonari no Zingaro in Nakano Broadway. There will only be 100 tins up for grabs.
