Many of Saturday Night Live's cast members have shared their major disapproval of Elon Musk as a host for the show in May 2021. Figures such as Bowen Yang and Aidy Bryant took to social media to comment on the news of the Tesla and SpaceX CEO making his SNL debut after Elon Musk wrote "Let's find out just how live Satuday Night Live really is" on his Twitter.
Yang, who is a staff writer, responded with an unhappy emoji on his Instagram Story as well as asked what Musk meant by the comment. Bryant, who has been a regular cast member on the show since 2012, subtly posted a screenshot of Bernie Sanders' tweet disapproving the 50 wealthiest people in the U.S. which, coincidentally, includes Musk. While Musk was not mentioned directly, Sanders' post called the 50 richest people of America a "moral obscenity."
Former SNL writer Andrew Dismukes also chimed in and wrote on social media, "Only CEO I wanna do sketch with is Cher-E Oteri."
Musk is slated to host SNL for the first time on May 8 alongside musical guest Miley Cyrus, who will mark her sixth visit on the show.
In case you missed it, WWE has just announced it is selling a "multi-episode anime series" to Crunchyroll.
