Ahead of its official premiere on Netflix, creator and director LeSean Thomas and animation studio MAPPA released a new teaser trailer showcasing the Japanese cast of Yasuke.
Also offering another look at the exciting visuals of the anime centered around a real-life man of African origin who served as under the Japanese daimyō Oda Nobunaga in the 1500s. Yasuke will tell the story of a war-torn feudal Japan filled with mechs and magic and the first African samurai's quest for peace. Yasuke gets wrapped up in a social upheaval between warring daimyo and must protect a mysterious child targeted by dark forces and bloodthirsty warlords.
