Maserati Crafts Two F Tributo Special Editions Honoring Formula 1 Driver Juan Manuel Fangio

Maserati is celebrating late Formula 1 driver Juan Manuel Fangio — the automaker's first-ever Formula 1 driver and the first racer to win five world champions in the history of the sport — with a pair of F Tributo special editions.

Debuted at Auto Shanghai, the two limited editions come in the form of a Ghibli and Levante. Both will be available in either a vibrant Azzurro Tributo blue or a fiery Rosso Tributo red, the former representing the Italian automaker's home city of Modena, while the latter takes on the traditional racing color of the European country. Yellow accents and brake calipers complete the package as a nod to Fangio's Maserati 250F livery back in 1957, complemented by a series of toned badges across the cars.

There's currently no pricing information for the F Tributo special editions, but only 345 units will be produced globally for either model, a portion of which is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. later this June.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, a bespoke Rolls-Royce Dawn has been commissioned for a Tokyo penthouse owner.
