According to reports, Kobe Bryant's estate could be working towards launching a personal brand following the official end of the basketball superstar's Nike contract.
Sources are now noting that wife Vanessa Bryant has led legal filings for more 13 trademarks since May 2020 on the behalf of Kobe's estate. The trademark applications cover, "Play Gigi’s Way," "Mamba," "Mambacita," "Baby Mambas" and Mamba League." Filed with "intent to use," the trademarks cover everything from clothing, gym wear, loungewear and footwear.
It is also important to note that The Mamba Sports Academy has been renamed as the "Sports Academy." "It was a mutual agreement, made in accordance with the wishes of his estate," the academy said in a May 2020 statement.
