Jordan Brand will be honoring the class of 2020-2021 this summer with a special bold iteration of the Air Jordan 5 low. The commemorative sneaker features black nylon uppers with soft leather overlays. Gold detailing is found on the forefoot teeth panels, tongue branding and the lateral "20/21" branding. Moreover "Smokey Black" netting and tonal black midsoles are also featured on the shoe.
Rounding out the design execution are Gold bades on the insoles, icy translucent outsoles complete with gold and black feather graphics as well as special WINGS hangtags and graduation tassels to ring in the celebratory theme.
Michael Jordan started the WINGS Scholarship Program to bolster student relationships with teachers and mentors. His mission in mind: “when given the chance, everyone can fly.” Back in 2018, the program released a special edition Air Jordan 5 covered in student drawings, with proceeds benefitting the program. This latest release is part of the initiative while honoring all graduating students of 2020/2021.
