Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba continues to shatter box office records. The anime movie that has taken Japan and the rest of the world by storm for its impressive box-office sales has broken the record for the biggest U.S. opening ever for a foreign-language film.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train earned $19,542,227 USD for its opening weekend gross in the U.S. The film was screened in its original Japanese, with English subtitles, as well as with English dub. This beats Pokemon: The First Movie, released back in 1999. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train, however, lags slightly behind Mortal Kombat ($22,515,000 USD) as No. 2.
