BEAMS' unrelenting collaborative output continues, as the Japanese mega-retailer rejoins Timex for another special timepiece. Unlike the duo's previous tortoiseshell endeavor, their latest team-up is more low-key, draping the Classic Digital in a black shade and elevating it with an expanding metal bracelet.
One of Timex's signature designs, the Classic Digital is an unassuming watch usually rendered in silver, with its eponymous digital face the only contrasting accent. BEAMS' edition still frames the case in black but renders the timepiece, including the new metal bracelet, in the same dark shade.
Though its usually offered with a polyurethane strap, this version opts for an expanding metal bracelet, eschewing the buckle in favor of a stretchable shape that can fit most people's arms with ease. Co-branding appears on the caseback while the BEAMS logo is hidden in the INDIGLO backlight, appearing at the touch of a button.
The exclusive watch launches in May via BEAMS' website and domestic outposts for ¥10,780 JPY (approximately $100 USD).
Timex most recently introduced a beachy set of Boyfriend watches and a retro Q Timex timepiece with its own stainless steel bracelet.
