KOTA The Friend and Statik Selektah have teamed up to deliver their collaborative album, To Kill A Sunrise.
Clocking in at just over half an hour, the 10-track project introduces the no-frills, modern nostalgic, sharp, yet witty partnership between the Brooklyn MC and revered producer. To Kill A Sunrise features only one guest feature from Haile Supreme on "Go Now," leaving space for KOTA The Friend to share his views on success.
“It’s a privilege to work with Statik. He’s been a brother to me since I started making music. This album is a statement, it’s no fillers, bars, and amazing production. I’m coming for it all, my way and I’m not taking no for an answer," KOTA The Friend said in a statement. Statik Selektah added, “I’m excited for the world to hear this. Really serious soundtrack with him at his best lyrically. I love that KOTA has made his own lane for himself the way he has so independently."
To Kill A Sunrise arrives just two months after KOTA The Friend's Lyrics to Go Vol. 2 project and four months after Statik Selektah's The Balancing Act.
